Extra “Royal” Outing For 2015

The Royal Collection Trust is holding an exhibition in the Queen’s Gallery Buckingham Palace entitled Painting Paradise – The Art Of The Garden.

ALGS have secured a time slot for up to 46 people at 11.30am on Saturday 3^rd October 2015 to visit the exhibition which reveals the way in which gardens have been celebrated in art across four centuries.

Bringing together paintings, botanical studies, drawings, books, manuscripts and decorative arts, the exhibition explores the changing character of the garden from the 16^th to the early 20^th century. It includes works by Leonardo da Vinci and Carl Faberge and some of the earliest and rarest surviving depictions of gardens and plants.

Cost: Over 60’s £8.30 Under £9.00

Travel: You will make your own way to central London where we will meet up before going into Buckingham Palace
